Come Grow with Us in Preschool through 8th grade
Mornings with Mommy
Mornings with Mommy is a monthly event for parents and their infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Parents and caregivers get to mingle with each other while enjoying quality time with their children. Mornings with Mommy includes age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, sensory tables, stories, music, educational toys, and a snack time. The best part? Zion’s team does all the planning; parents just need to sign-up.
Preschool
Zion Lutheran Preschool offers a well-rounded, state-licensed program of Early Childhood Education. It provides a safe, healthy environment that fosters spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. The program is built to support each family’s unique needs, so we provide a wide-range of options. Choose a full-day or half-day preschool program and attend one to five days a week.
Elementary School
In Kindergarten through 8th grade, Zion Lutheran School builds on the education foundation laid at home and in preschool. Students at Zion grow academically and physically during this time as well as socially, emotionally, and spiritually in academics, athletics, and the fine arts. Our faculty and staff nurture each area of a child’s development to prepare them for high school, college, and beyond.
Does your child have everything they need to grow?
As parents, we want what’s best for our children, so they can thrive in all areas of life. We want them to have a well-rounded education with opportunities to compete in sports, perform in plays, and explore their creativity through art and music. Having a growth mindset is important for learning and life!
But our children need more than education and extracurriculars to thrive. Our children need friends and mentors who encourage and support them. They need to know they are created special with unique talents, abilities, and futures. And they need to know how much God loves them.
Growing at Zion Lutheran School

Growing Physically
As a small school, opportunities for physical growth are guaranteed. We offer soccer, basketball, cheerleading, and track through our Colorado Lutheran Activities League. Additionally, recess and physical education classes are a great way for children to develop their motor skills.

Growing Spiritually
Everything we do at Zion is for the glory of God. Sharing the love of Christ is the center of our education. We start our day with a classroom devotion and Bible class, teach all of our courses in the light of God’s Word, and have chapel services every Friday morning. God’s Word is our growth foundation and motivation!

Growing Academically
School is a place for growth. At Zion, we love seeing the academic progress students make throughout their time here. We meet all children where they are and differentiate instruction in order to help them succeed. Most importantly, we lead students to be the best they can be to glorify God with their unique gifts.
Serving our Community for Over 55 Years
Zion Lutheran School was established in 1967 and has been serving the students and families of Denver, Colorado with Christian education. In preschool through eighth grade, Zion’s students consistently score above the national average on MAP Growth Tests.
Every teacher at Zion Lutheran School has a bachelor of education degree from Martin Luther College, a nationally accredited school in New Ulm, MN. Teachers come from different backgrounds and experiences, lending their unique strengths and years of experience to the benefit of each student’s education. Most importantly, the mission of the educational team at Zion Lutheran School is to share God’s love with students every day.
“The community we have found at Zion is unlike any other. It is comforting knowing that while my children are at school, they are being loved and cared for like family. The small class sizes allow for a truly intimate educational experience that meets the needs of children at all levels. We are blessed by this school.” – Parent of 4 Zion students
“After attending public schools for many years, our family decided to switch to a private education that provided adequate class sizes and an opportunity to experience one-on-one instruction. My kids have not only gained more knowledge but they are now afforded the opportunity to partake in numerous activities without the pressure of ‘making the cut.’ My children love everything Zion has to offer; basketball, cheer, spring plays, soccer, choir, and so much more!” – Parent of 3 Zion students
