Hot Lunch – 12/6 -$5- Rotisserie Chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, carrot sticks and chocolate chip cookies
Hot lunch is served every Wednesday for grades K-8. While the hot lunch coordinator, Jamie Collyard, serves most lunches throughout the year, she always welcomes parent volunteers to either help with the lunch or sign up to prepare and serve a hot lunch themselves. Thanks to everyone who supported our Culvers fundraising night! The work of our students and parents who helped is certainly appreciated. Approximately $1,000 was raised through the event! A representative from Culvers will be here next Friday after chapel to present our school with a check and congratulate us.
For our First Semester Mission Offering we have chosen to support our mission congregation, Foundation Lutheran Church in Peyton, (a suburb of Colorado Springs) CO. Our mission offering today was $30.50 and the total is $492.91. Thank you for your support of this project!

Thursday, December 7th, will be our first Basketball Practice at Gold Crown for the A and B teams from 3:30-4:30pm. Students in 3rd-8th grade will be dismissed at 3:15pm on these Thursdays with practice. Anyone unable to be picked up at 3:15 will remain with Mr. Schaefer until the normal pickup time.
Zion Cheer will have its first practice on Monday, December 18, from 3:30-4:30pm, in the fellowship hall. A note was sent home with your child today. Please look it over, sign, and return with payment as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Monday.

Family Devotion Time is such a blessing not only for children , but also parents. Here is a link to family devotions that are published 3 times a week. Our classroom Christmas party is right around the corner. We will be celebrating on Wednesday, December 20. A note was sent home in your child’s folder this week with more information and a sign-up for treats to bring. The name of your child’s “secret” santa will be given to you next week. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask Mrs. Monday.
The PK-K Christmas service is coming up! This service will be on Friday, December 22, at 10:00am. There will be no normal preschool sessions that day due to the service and it being a half-day. Please arrive with your child for the service by 9:30am so that we have time to get them dressed in their costumes and ready. The kids are to meet in Mrs. Monday’s classroom and will then be taken up to church all together. Parents are welcome to have a seat upstairs prior so that they may see all children process into the church. If you have any questions please ask Mrs. Monday.

1ST AND 2ND GRADE
We need some small boxes for a social studies project. The boxes can be shoe box size with a lid or be able to close. You could send one for your own child, or if you have extra please consider donating them. Thank you!
Our social studies project mentioned above involves chocolate and other ingredients. If you would like to donate supplies for this please speak to Mrs. Merklinger. Thanks!
Memory Treasures will be learned at school from November 27 through all of December. We will be working on our Christmas service parts and amaze you with all that we can tell you about the birth of our Savior, Jesus.
Memory Treasures for homework will resume in January after our winter break.

Secret Santa: The students drew Secret Santa names on Thursday. These gifts will be presented to their classmates at our Christmas party before Christmas break begins. Please keep gifts around $10 and below.
Field Trip Monday: We are going on a field trip to CSU on Monday under the coordination of Melyssa Hartzell! All participants are free. Please return any permission slips that I do not have by this Monday. We have enough drivers and chaperones now, so thank you for your willingness to help!
6TH – 8TH GRADE- Next week we will be doing a name exchange for Christmas gifts to be given at out Christmas party on Friday, December 22. Gifts should be in the $10.00-$15.00 range.
