May 12- No School

May 24 – No Hot Lunch

May 26- Last Day of School-

Dear families of Zion,  Your outpouring of love and support throughout the year and in particular during Teacher Appreciation Week is truly appreciated.  We are so privileged to be able to partner with you in helping your children grow academically, physically, socially, emotionally, and most importantly in their relationship with our Savior-God.  A special thanks to the members of our School Support Committee who organized the week and made it extra special.  May God continue to bless and keep us all!  ~The teachers of Zion.

Report Cards will be given out to students on the Last Day of School.

Our 8th grade graduate, Jasmine Doak, will not be able to be here for Friday’s graduation as her family will be out of town for a special service in which her dad will become a pastor.  So that Jasmine can officially graduate, we will have a service for her Wednesday from 2:45-3:15pm.  Kindergarten through 8th grade will participate in the service.  All school families are welcome to attend as well.

The Last Day of School (May 26) is next Friday!  Here is the schedule for the morning:

8:30-9:15am– Devotion and Yearbook signing.

9:15-10:15am– Games run by grades 6-8 for all the other students

10:30-11:30am– Closing service and graduations.  All parents are invited!

11:30am12:30pm– Picnic sponsored by the School Support Committee. School is dismissed for summer!

There will be no hot lunch service the last week of school, Wednesday, May 24.

On Monday, May 1, you received an email from our tuition management company, TADS. The email will prompt you to accept your 2023-2024 Zion LS tuition agreement. If you have applied for Grant in Aid or ACE (FACTS) and you receive a grant, those funds will be credited to your TADS as soon as Zion LS is notified of the award. As in years past, if tuition is paid in full within the month of May, you will be given an extra 10% discount. If you have any questions, please direct them to Anne Saggau in the school office.

Registration for this summer’s Zion Vacation Bible School is now open! You can register by scanning the QR code on the VBS flyer or by calling the office. This year’s VBS- Splash Canyon- runs from Monday, June 5, to Thursday, June 8, from 9-11:30 am. All children ages 4-11 are welcome to attend. Update: Ages 4-7 are currently full. A  link on Parenting topics for you to explore each week comes from our WELS magazine- Forward in Christ.  Please check it out.  There will be a variety of material including articles and podcasts.  Here is this week’s link about, “Tips for a Simple Summer.”

Family Devotion Time is such a blessing not only for children , but also parents.  Here is a link to family devotions that are published 3 times a week.  On this page, you can also choose to have them delivered to your email account.  (This can be a great reminder for doing these on a regular basis.)  May God bless your time spent in devotions together!
